For HD Production Switching

For synchronized production switching the model HDS 201 (2x1) or HDS 202 (2x2) provide seamless HD (SMPTE 292M) or SD (SMPTE 259M) switching between co-timed inputs.  GPI interface allows you to select inputs.

The HDS 202 is designed for applications where larger routers are not cost effective or do not offer the safety measure of emergency switching.  If your inputs are co-timed, a seamless changeover is achieved, making the HDS 202 ideal for live applications.  Also, both inputs are monitored and if one fails, the output may be automatically switched.  Switching between two different HD graphics generators during a live sporting event would be easy with the HDS card.  If your inputs are mistimed you would want the HDS 201-S version.

Tally outputs give status of the selected source.  Up to 4 HDS cards may be installed in a 1 RU frame with dual power supplies for PS failure protection.

IRD Hot Stand By Switching

For synchronized emergency switching between two IRD's with HD or SD-SDI video and 2 AES outputs.  In a 1U frame you employ the model HDS 201-S to provide seamless HD (SMPTE 292M) or SD (SMPTE 259M) switching and two ASW 201 AES audio clean switches.   All three switches will detect failures and are linked via internal GPI interface for simultaneous switching of all IRD inputs, should any one of the primary inputs fail.
