The Microvideo Side Bar Generator is a simple device used to add side bars or pillars to 4x3 media to create a 16x9 aspect ratio SD SDI video, allowing you to switch all your house monitors to 16x9 without stretching or distortion. The SBG 200 can display color curtains with the picture centered or offset to the left of right. Designed primarily as a low cost upgrade for fixed 4x3 sources like traffic or weather camera feeds, the anti-tear software make the SBG 200 ideal for any 4x3 transmission including news and sports. For synchronized emergency switching between two IRD's with HD or SD-SDI video and 2 AES outputs. In a 1U frame you employ the model HDS 201-S to provide seamless HD (SMPTE 292M) or SD (SMPTE 259M) switching and two ASW 201 AES audio clean switches. All three switches will detect failures and are linked via internal GPI interface for simultaneous switching of all IRD inputs, should any one of the primary inputs fail. |
